Effect of the Depression on Technology...

Enjoyed an article by O’Reilly Radar about the effect of the depression on technology.  If you don’t have time to read the article it basically says the following:

• “First, this recession will be good for innovation because recessions generally are
• Second, this recession will be great for free and open source because of the shortage of cash
• Third, open source services and cloud computing will benefit from the tight financial situation
• As Phil Torrone said, people will have more time than money. This is good for open source software…”
