The Moth and The World Science Festival Presents Janna Levin: Life on a Möbius Strip

December 28th, 2012 by Jeremy

Obviously as an astrophysics Janna is brilliant, but also a tremendous story teller. You have to watch the whole video because you’ll see she does an amazing job tying back scientific theories of the universe and correlating them to her own möbius strip (had to Google that) with a romantic relationship here on Earth.  The video wasn’t just entertaining but also got me thinking about the possibility that the universe could be finite but what if it was round like Earth?  What if space had a space of its own or what if each space went on infinitely?  Fascinating and very entertaining stuff.

Lego Sends 10 Yr. Old Asperger’s Boy Free Set

December 1st, 2012 by Jeremy

James is ten years old and suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome. His favorite toys are Lego’s which he has been playing with since he was four years old. A few years ago he spotted the Emerald Night Train set at the toy store, and fell in love. His parents said he had to save and pay for the $100 set himself. After two years of saving, he finally had enough. But, alas! The set was discontinued.  Lucky for James, Lego is a company that knows how to take care of their fans.
