I just learned you can add holidays to your Google Calendar by clicking the Add button in the “Other calendars” section. After you click the Add button select “Add a public calendar”.

Click the “Add Calendar” button to any public calendar you wish to add to your calendar. For instance as you can see in the screenshot below I added the Phases of the Moon, Google Doodles, and US Holidays public calendars. If you didn’t already know this trick (like me), I hope you find this useful.

Unlockforus.blogspot.com has an awesome tip for downloading HD YouTube videos. Start to play an HD YouTube video and then copy/paste the following code in the address bar and hit enter on your keyboard. It should prompt your browser to download the HD video without any software or additional websites. I just tried it so I could show a friend a video whenever I want. Very slick…

Have you ever had a video you have on your computer which you want to turn into a DVD to play on your big screen television or send to relatives? With DVD Flick you can take a video file on your computer and after a few hours of data crunching (depends on speed of your computer) it will burn the resulting file onto a DVD for you. I just learned from a conference I went to the other day that you can get YouTube to play higher quality videos by default instead of having to select it. When you log into your YouTube account, at the top of the screen select Account > More. Then click Playback Setup and tell YouTube you have a high speed connection and save.
