About Me...

My name is Jeremy Person but by now you probably already know that. This page is my favorite because well it is about me. OK not really I have other things on here too like family videos (below), pictures (also below), and some ways you can contact or network with me.

I was born in Spencer, IA and my parents moved to Sacramento, CA when I was three.  We were in Sacramento for about nine months before being transferred to Truckee, CA which is near Lake Tahoe.  From Truckee we moved to Cameron Park, CA where I attended second through fifth grade.  We were in Cameron Park for three years before we moved to Reno, NV which is really where I still to this day say I grew up.  In Reno I attended my last year of elementary school, got through middle school, and attended part of my freshman year of high school.  Reno was great because it was there that I met my first long term girlfriend who I dated for three years before moving the freshman year of high school to Crofton, MD.  Starting out in a new high school your freshman year is always tough but it is even more difficult when it is literally on the other side of the country from where your other school was which I desperately missed.  I can’t say I loved the high school I went to but I met nice people along the way.  The day I graduated high school is still one of the top ten days of my life because I was really ready to grow up and get on with my life.

I started working for Safeway in Bowie, MD when I was sixteen as a courtesy clerk.  I’ve always liked working because since the day I started I loved having my own money so I can work hard but also play hard too.  When I was in my second year of college my family moved to Oregon and I decided it would be a good thing to be on the same coast as them so I went with them.  Not to mention Maryland was so different from what I was used to on the West Coast that I desperately wanted to get back to the other side of the country. In Oregon I finished my computer science AA degree and was recruited for a position in Safeway’s IT department to start their Intranet.  I have been promoted throughout the years and have been working for Safeway in different positions on their Intranet for almost nine years now.  You can view my LinkedIn page to see more information about me and my career.

I was married for six years and in 2007 we had our first son Tyler who came into the world a little underweight but since the day he arrived Tyler has never looked back and has the determination of a “Person”.  He eats, learns, and loves like nobody I have met.  He is probably the best things to happen to me and is the best son any dad could ever hope for.
