I’m listening to My Chemical Romance’s “Black Parade” albumn tonight and really liking it. You should check it out if you haven’t heard it yet.

OK so we all know MP3s are king these days but in the future will formats like FLAC be the new format of choice for iPod toting audiophiles? With storage capacity growing like crazy in a few years we may see lossless audio codecs replacing MP3 for music purchases. MP3s most likely would still be used but most likely for for podcasts where the files need to be smaller in size, played once and then discarded. If you are like me and haven’t heard about FLAC, you can read up on it via Wikipedia here. The official site is http://flac.sourceforge.net/.

I just saw that Amazon is supporting the Linux OS for MP3 downloads. Good job Amazon…

We had lunch at a Thai food restaurant today and they gave him a styrofaum cup of water with a straw. We have tried having him drink with a straw in the past but today he figured it out and there was no stopping him. Remember those “crazy straws” growing up? I can’t wait to give one to Tyler some day. We’ll stick to the boring ‘ol regular straws for now but we were pretty proud of our little guy.
